The main objective of this symposium is to formulate concrete recommendations on procedural standards (SOPs) to be presented to the Quebec government. ThinkTank Challenges to Patient Access to Oncology Clinical Trials in Quebec: November 20

Annual General Meeting: October 30th

October 30th, the Coalition Priorité Cancer held its annual general meeting and strategic planning with all its active member organizations in Brossard.

Symposium Cancer, Sexuality and Sexual Well-Being : 11 September

Cancer and its treatment have a major impact on sexuality, both physical and psychological, and therefore on quality of life. Unfortunately, there are no procedural standards for dealing with these issues in Quebec. This symposium acted as an opportunity to formulate concrete recommendations and standard operating practices (SOPs) for public health decision-makers to better support people with cancer in their sexuality and sexual well-being.

Launch of DOC.UV – Documentary on melanoma: May 29
On May 29, the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT) hosted an evening to raise awareness of skin cancer prevention, organized by the Coalition Priorité Cancer. Together, let’s get informed and take action to protect our skin and that of our loved ones! The screening of the documentary DOC.UV by Marie-Ève Richard, a survivor and activist determined to educate families about the dangers of skin cancer. Experts and representatives of specialized organizations will also be on hand to exchange and share their knowledge. A unique opportunity to get informed and contribute to the prevention of skin cancer, a cause that concerns us all.

14th Annual Conference: March 24

Our 14th Annual Cancer Conference is the major annual gathering of all those involved in the fight against cancer in Quebec: patients, survivors, caregivers, community organizations, patient associations, healthcare professionals working in oncology, industry partners, political decision-makers and the media.
This annual conference is organized to address current issues affecting people with cancer, in an accessible and popularized way. Topics include Cancer risk and the impact of the environment; The oncology patient experience; The key role of oncology nurse navigators and medication access navigators; The patient-pharmacist community partnership; Tools and opportunities to optimize return to work following cancer; and Clinical research in rare oncology conditions.

États Généraux de la lutte contre le cancer au Québec : 2 Mai

Cet événement rassemblera tous les acteurs clés concernés, notamment les personnes touchées par le cancer, des organismes ou groupes communautaires qui les représentent, des chercheurs et des professionnels de la santé en cancérologie, entre autres. L’objectif des États généraux est de mobiliser et générer un consensus sur une stratégie à long terme pour non seulement faire avancer la lutte contre le cancer au Québec, mais aussi se donner des objectifs mesurables à atteindre, des échéanciers ambitieux, et des moyens pour y arriver.
Si vous souhaitez voir notre société agir concrètement pour diminuer la mortalité liée au cancer et améliorer la qualité de vie pour les personnes touchées par cette maladie, cet événement est pour vous. Merci de vous joindre à cette mobilisation qui se veut proactive et collaboratrice afin de proposer des solutions pour réduire les impacts de la surmortalité au Québec.
